Bluebonnets 2014

A couple weeks ago Tim took the girls to take classic Texas bluebonnet pictures.  Oh man, Tim is such an amazing daddy and photographer.  He got several awesome photos of the two girls.

The "serious" face

The "kissy" face

The "silly" face

I'm fairly certain she was about to eat this flower.

These sweet, sweet cheeks.

The "thinker"

When did she get so big?

Wait, what does this say? 9 months!!

This says 9 Months!

I'm 9 months + 2 months now....

Seriously, do y'all see this awesome sticker?

I'm doing some big things now.

I love clapping, army crawling, and I am eating all sorts of new things.

Can you see how long my hair is getting?

I love smiling, it is really one of my favorite things! One of my new fun tricks is to move from laying to sitting!

What's that mommy? You'd like me to sit still and not play with this giant sticker?

Not going to happen!  I think this sticker is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

Oh hey there!  Since I am cutting 4 teeth, I'm a drooly mess!

My chin shows the results of ALL OF MY DROOL!

Thanks for checking in!
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, I had my 9 months doctors appointment.

Folks, She's A Mover!

The look of determination...

Mastering the "army crawl".
Over the past couple weeks, this little cutie has started to get restless staying in the same place for long periods of time.  Not quite on all fours, but this sweet girl is a moving and a grooving.  She doesn't want to miss out on anything.  If Crosby is behind the couch, that is where she's heading.  If we are in the kitchen or out of sight, Carter is looking for us.  She is always looking for new adventure.

What We've Been Up To - By Crosby and Carter

Hey Y'all!  So it feels like it is officially spring here in Texas.  We have been spending a lot of time outside with Mommy and Daddy.  There have been some great trips to the park and walks around the neighborhood.  We are both looking forward to many trips to the pool this summer.  We love all the time that we get to spend together. We are looking forward so springtime visitors!

8 Month Side by Side

Carter Joy

Crosby Eleanor

Carter - 8 Months

I cannot wrap my mind around the fact that Carter is 8 months old!  How on Earth is this time flying by so fast?

No doctor's appointments this month, so no stats on height or weight.  She is GROWING so fast.  Wearing 9 months clothes and size 3 diapers.

She has 4 total teeth, her two bottom middles and two top middles.  Carter is a great eater, she eats 3 solid meals a day.  Some of her favorite foods: bananas, apple sauce, peas, sweet potatoes, black beans, noodles and cheerios.

Carter is a rolling and drooling machine.  She has started rocking back and forth on all fours a little bit.  Since Crosby brings anything she needs to her, she has very little need for mobility.  I think she's very satisfied staying put. (FOR NOW)

Likes:
-bouncing/jumping
-swinging at the park
-when Crosby roars really loud
-eating
-putting everything in my mouth
-FaceTiming with my family
-car rides
-playing at church
-bath time
-sleeping
-my paci and my thumb
-going for walks
-riding in the wagon and stroller
-loud music
-standing at my play table

Dislikes:
-waiting to eat
-mommy or daddy out of my eyesight

Carter is one happy little girl.  She is a joy and a blessing in our lives.  We love sharing new things with her.  We love you beyond measure Sweet Carter Bug!

Happy Birthday Daddy! - Love Crosby and Carter

Our daddy had a birthday this past week!  Did you guys know that?  Birthdays are a pretty big deal in our family.  Birthdays = Cake or in daddy's case brownies.  Carter and I wanted to tell everyone a few things we love about our daddy - Mommy helped us with the pictures.

Daddy loves like crazy.  He calls us his girls.  We love when he cuddles with us.

We love his laugh!

We love how strong he is!

We love the way he plays with us and makes us smile.

We love the way he lets us explore on our own.  All the while he is protecting us and making us feel safe.

We love the way he shares new experiences with us!

We love playing games with him!

We love how he helps us!

We love how he can make us laugh!

We absolutely LOVE YOU!  Thank you for being a GOD fearing, loving, caring, amazing daddy and husband.  We are blessed to have you in our lives!
