I Wanna Help

...clean my toes.
...feed myself.
...keep you warm and snugly.
...put lotion on after bath.
Mom says that I am getting to be such a BIG helper.

Typical Night at Our House

Every other night at our house is Crosby's bath night. She loves the water! Since her very first bath time, we've used this awesome over the kitchen sink baby bath tub. She started off in the hammock as a teeny tiny infant, she quickly out grew that. Tim is usually in charge of baths, he does a fantastic job at not getting water all over her face, something that I am great at doing. Now that we've introduced solid food, this is what a typical night looks like in our house.

1. Waiting SO patiently for her sweet potatoes! She loves them!

2. A spoonful goes in and some of it comes back out.
3. She is a eager eater! She frequently hums, and turns to get more quickly!
4. Post meal bath. She is a happy bather.

5 months

5 months. 5 whole months have gone by since our sweet little Crosby entered this world. I love her so much! We did not go to the doctor this month, so no stats. She is growing!

Facts about Crosby:

-Wearing sizes 3-6 months clothes.

-Size 1 diapers still during the day, size 2 at night.

-Started eating solid food. First rice cereal (yuck), now we're on to sweet potatoes!

-Can't seem to stay on her back long, she loves to roll to her tummy.

-Loves bath time!

-Enjoys car rides, they often put her right to sleep.

-Very vocal, it's hard to keep this little girl in church. We're just not ready to put her in the nursery quite yet. Well, I'm not.

-Has a slight fear of big dogs.

-Notices everything: eyebrows, glasses, coffee cups, necklaces, hair... the list could go on and on. Basically, if you have it, she wants it.

-Anything and everything is going in her mouth.

-Still no teeth.

-When napping, she always seems to manage to make it to her tummy.

-Loves all the quality daddy/daughter time.

-Wants to help with every meal.

-Found her toes!

-Blows lots of bubbles. Sometimes at meal time...let's just say, Tim doesn't like sweet potatoes.

-She smiles all the time. She is such a happy little girl!

Pumpkin Patch and Honey Bees

On the night before Halloween our little family ventured out to a pumpkin patch in search of the perfect pumpkin. We thought this would be a great opportunity to get some cute pictures of our little lady. She didn't know what to think about it. Crosby was a great sport, so was Tim.

Once we got home from the pumpkin adventure and before Crosby faded, we got some fun pictures of her in her Halloween costume. She was a fuzzy little honey bee. We did not take her trick-or-treating this year, who would give candy to a baby?

Tim's Aunt Karen sent Crosby this super cute Halloween onesie. Added bonus, it glows in the dark! Crosby was trying to give us her very best "tough" face! She wasn't tricking anyone.

Silly girl! Thank you Aunt Karen for the fun onesie!

Not Her Favorite

Recently we started Miss Crosby on rice cereal at night. Here is what she thinks of it:

Are you serious? I have to eat this?

In my mouth, not my nose! Never mind, the nose might be a better place for this stuff.
This is horrible! Please, no more!

Wait, maybe I like it....

Nope, still horrible!

We have now moved on to sweet potatoes and she LOVES them!

#TeamChin takes the fight to the streets...

Re-posted from Coachwhite.org

On October 11th, 2011 my little sister, Leanne, was diagnosed with breast cancer. I haven't said much here about her her battle with breast cancer. (I can barely type the words) I put a link in my sidebar and re-posted a poem she wrote about. She also happens to be pregnant with her 1st child whom they know will be a baby boy. The medicine has come a long way from 10 years ago and both she and the baby will beat this and be stronger for it in the future. This has been very hard for her because it came out the blue(baby boy reference:)) and it came fast. Cancer is more aggressive in younger people. When we found out we immediately went to Minnesota to be with the family and with her before her initial Dr. visits. She was in good spirits with the two babies around and the whole family, but underneath it all we were all stunned and in shock. She has battled through so much and now this. We prayed and have been praying ever since. If there is anyone strong enough to be a mom and beat bc(can't type it anymore) it's her. We all admire her so much for her strength, toughness, and stubbornness(hey, it will come in very handy here!)

Today I got a package from #teamchin headquarters in Muscatine, IA. We had rubber wristbands made with her favorite bible verse:

Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

I left Crosby alone with the bracelets (to get her bottle ready) and look what she did for her Auntie:

Truer words have never been put on rubber bracelets:

If you would like a bracelet, the TX annex of #teamchin headquarters has a bunch. All proceeds will go to Leanne and Ryan their fight. The nickname "Chin" comes from a restaurant in Minnesota, named Leann-Chin. I am pretty sure it was bestowed upon her the 1st or 2nd time she stepped on a basketball court and it stuck :)

You can contact me at via twitter @coachwhite27 or facebook danielle or reply in the comments. to find out how to get some.
