1st Twins Game

We waited a whole 7 weeks before introducing Crosby to our favorite MLB team, the Minnesota Twins. Seven whole weeks, can you believe it?
We dressed her appropriately (in only a onesie - no not a Twins onesie, the ones we have are still too big), packed extras (in case of blowouts) and were off. It was stressful for me, I feared the heat. No worries, we went to a night game, but the temps were still warm.
She did GREAT! She was wide eyed, soaking in the whole experience. Crosby got lots of attention from the fans. She is a cutie, who can blame them? We even got lots of attention from the players themselves, well the baseballs. We had 4 foul balls hit in our area. :) We only stayed until the 8th inning, it was longer than I thought I could make it. It was a good experience, she did SO WELL! We'll have to go to another game soon!

She wasn't thrilled about dress up!

Guess who is excited?

Splish Splash

This little girl loves her bath time!

T and I still tag teaming bath time. I only got water in C's eyes twice this time. Big improvement if you saw the bath video!
And yes Auntie Katie, we did get her arm pits!

Just talking after bath time. She loves it!

A Special Visit from Ross and Karly

This last week we had two special visitors make the LONG drive down from Minnesota! Ross and Karly arrived on Monday evening after driving 18 hours from Minneapolis. It was great having them both here. There was lots of time spent loving on Crosby. Crosby loves her Uncle Rossy! Of course I had to put my little brother to work while he was here, he fixed our leaky kitchen sink and installed a few new switches in C's room (light and fan). Don't worry, it wasn't all work. R and K spent some time shopping (new cowboy boots, a Christmas ornament and a Dallas Starbucks coffee mug), swimming at the pool, sight seeing, and relaxing. We loved having them here! Thanks for spending almost an entire week of your vacation time with us. Love you!

Papa Came to Town

Look who stopped by on his way from Austin to North Dallas...Papa! We enjoyed a little steak dinner, conversation, cuddling with Crosby and of course Sprinkles cupcakes for dessert. Next time he'll have to stay longer than just a couple of hours.

1st Time at Church

This week Tim and I set a goal: make it to the 9:30 service at church. Mission Accomplished!

Did that mean I had to wake up at 6:00am to feed Crosby, then shower and get ready before I fed her again at 8:30? Yes. I will learn how to balance all the responsibilities of getting both of us ready, but I didn't want to chance it today. I guess it's good practice for when we have to go back to school. (insert sad face here...)

Tim and Crosby pre-church outing (the bow is from Ross and Karly!)
Cute Crosby expression caught on camera - she doesn't mind her car seat today! She must have known we were on our way to church!
Post church play time with our play-mat friends. She has really started to talk to all of her fun friends. I will have to try to capture it all on video soon.

Grandma Loves Crosby...

...and Crosby loves Grandma!

Our Little Family

I LOVE these TWO!

MN Visitors!

My mom surprised me this week with a phone call telling me that she was planning on making a quick road trip down with my Aunt Pam. A quick18 hour road trip from northern MN I might add. The road trip itself was not the quick part, but the visit.

I spoke to my mom on the phone on Thursday and she let it slip that my sister Tabi was also along for the ride! Yea!! The arrived last Thursday afternoon to our 108 degree weather. Also that night our AC went out! Blah! We spent the quick 36 hours catching up, laughing, eating, and some quality Crosby time.

Even though the time was WAY TO SHORT, we had a good time! I love my family and I love that they would drive all the way from MN just to love on Crosby. Thank you for coming, I wish it could have been longer! Love you!

1 Month

Crosby Eleanor is 1 month old today! It is so hard to believe how fast time goes by. Each day we learn something new about her!

Things we've learned about Crosby in her first month of life:
- She tugs on her ear when she's really tired
- She loves when her daddy changes her diaper
-Wait a good 5 minutes to change a dirty diaper, she's probably not done yet
-Likes bath time
-Prefers to sit up, not lay down and cuddle
-Falls asleep during our evening walks
-She is a really good eater (Praise God!)
-Doesn't spit up often (just when mommy isn't expecting it!)
-Is learning to like "tummy time"
-Loves laying on the blanket Grammie made!
-Loves to be sung to (by both mommy and daddy)
-She sometimes just wants to be left alone (don't worry we're not far away)
-Likes when mommy rides in the back seat with her
-Sleeps really well at night (so far!)
-Warming up to being swaddled

We are still learning (daily) about Miss Crosby.
Thank you for your continued prayers and well wishes.

Here are a few things we're looking forward to in month #2:
-A visit from Ross and Karly
-Bath time with just mommy or daddy
-Learning to be a self soother
-First (real) smile
-More awake time
-More time in the swing or bouncy seat
-Lots of Skyping with MN family

Bath Time

This is Miss Crosby's 2nd bath. We did not get a picture of the first. I think she liked it. So far it takes both Tim and I to accomplish this task.

Oh No!

Ladies and Gentlemen....I think we have a thumb-sucker on our hands. Let the saving for braces begin!

Is that a Smile?

The other night Miss Crosby and I were hanging out. I think I may have captured a smile. Then again, it could have been gas... I'd like to think she was smiling at her momma!

Love!

Swing Time

Someone likes her swing! At least she did today! :)

Auntie Aimee

Auntie Aimee came to visit for the weekend. She was able to spend plenty of quality time with baby Crosby. Time was spent at the pool, shopping, making dinner, baking cookies, skyping, stumbling, going for a walk, and cuddling with Crosby. This is how Crosby spent most of the weekend, she's so sleepy. Thank you Aimee for coming to visit. We loved having you here!

All-American Baby

Thank you Aunt Karen for the sweet onesie!
Crosby is 100% an All-American Baby!
Happy 4th of July!

3 Weeks Old

Time is really flying by this summer. Miss Crosby is 3 week old already! Each week we learn a little more about her. She is awake a little more each day, which has been a fun change. She is still sleeping so well at night (praise the Lord). It is hard to believe that she's almost a month old. Where is the time going?

Likes: sleeping on the couch, sucking on her pacifier, eating, sitting upright on daddy lap, skyping/facetime with family in MN and IA, tearing her mittens off, her swing (kind of), laying on her changing table and looking around her room, gas drops

Dislikes: gassy tummy, waiting to eat, going to sleep, swaddling

New Things: liking her swing, spitting up :(, strong neck (she thinks she's older than she actually is), had a MAJOR blow out while home alone with daddy, her belly button is almost completely healed

We want to hear from you:
