arkansas spring break

over my spring break, my dad flew down from mn to come and visit. we decided to road trip it to hazen, arkansas to visit family. we had a very rainy 6 hour trip on the way there. we couldn't wait to see everyone. my only regret is that i didn't take pictures of mike and sarah, and kaley and preston's new houses. sorry. i only took out my camera once and here are the pics i snaped.

last week we went to ICE at the Gaylord Texan with our friends scott and becca. we drove out after work, had a nice meal, and over paid to view some amazing ice sculptures. tim called his dad to tell him what we were doing and he just laughed and told us we could walk around in 9 degree weather in mn for free. he's right, but when do you get the chance in texas to where ridiculously huge jackets! the best part was the ice slide! we had a blast. thanks scotty and rebecky for going with us!

putting up the tree

so it's the day after thanksgiving which means that i get to put up our christmas tree. that's right, tim has set ground rules that the tree cannot go up until the day after thanksgiving. if it was up to me the tree would have gone up november 1st. i just love this time of year, i can't wait to set up the tree and decorate it! here are a few pictures of our tree (we don't have a topper) and a couple of my favorite new ornaments.

thanksgiving 08

we spent thanksgiving in texas celebrating with my roommates from college and their husbands. the day was spent eating, playing games, talking, football watching (mainly by the guys), and playing with annika. we had a great time! thanks ladies of 318 of 9 great years of memories! i can't believe it's already been that long.

last week chris and fran came down for a visit. we had a great time. on friday, tim and i took the day off of work and we took them to the gaylord texan. this was our first trip too, but we can't wait to go back during the holidays! (well, i can't...tim is kindof being forced to go)



we wanted to see santa, but he wasn't in yet. sad.
