back to school - grammie is in town!

Tim and I went back to school last week. We were extremely blessed to have Grammie Fran in town for 2 weeks to help out with Crosby. It was so much easier to go back to work knowing that C was at home with someone that truly loves and cares for her.

Thank you Grammie for spending two of your last weeks of summer with us in the HOT Texas heat! You're AMAZING!
Thank you for yummy home cooked meals EVERY night!
Thank you for helping clean our house!
Thank you for grocery shopping for us!
Thank you for getting up early to cuddle with Crosby!
Thank you for teaching Crosby fun songs!
Thank you for making and freezing meals for us!
Thank you for EVERYTHING!

Tim, Crosby and I love you so much and we're SO BLESSED!

Wednesday brought Papa to Dallas to visit! He was able to spend the afternoon and evening with us. Crosby is so lucky to have another person to love on her. There was lots of cuddling, talking, standing, drooling with Papa. Papa brought some fun surprises for Crosby, pictures to follow soon.

Look How Strong I Am

Each day my neck is getting stronger and stronger. Thank you Grammie for doing tummy time with me each day to help build my neck muscles. Before mommy and daddy know it I will be pushing up and maybe even rolling over. Grammie is teaching me lots of new tricks and so many fun new songs. I love the song about the choo choo train!
I wonder what Grandpa Tim is going to teach me when he comes to visit at the end of the month. Mommy has lots of projects, so maybe he'll show me how to fix things.

Can I borrow the car?

This is the conversation I imagine between these two (fast forward 16 years):
Miss C just has to borrow the car for something SUPER important, that cannot wait. Daddy is saying no, it's Sunday which is family day. Obviously you can tell by C's face that she's not happy with dad's answer.

What conversation can you imagine that goes with this picture?

Silly Daddy- A post from Crosby

I love when you play with me! I love when you stick your tongue out at me, it makes me laugh every time. You're the best daddy!

Auntie Lan

Last week Tim and I returned to work with a week of in-service. Auntie Leanne was able to come down for a whole week to spend time with Crosby! I apologize for the lack of pictures. I guess that's what happens when you're dog tired when you come home from work. Thank you Leanne for spending a whole week loving on Crosby! Thank you Uncle Ran for letting her come for a whole week! We love you!!!

Grammie Time

Grammie Fran is in town for two weeks to take care of Crosby while we go back to work. This week has been a smooth transition thanks to Grammie. We are all so thankful she could come and love on C (and us too)! We appreciate all the yummy home cooked meals, cleaning, and quality time that you get to spend with Crosby! Thank you for making going back to work MUCH easier.

2 Months Continued

This week Miss Crosby had her 2 month doctor appointment, technically she was 2 months and 1 week old. I wasn't able to go to her appointment, so daddy snapped some post shot pictures. He said she handled it like a champ! Just a few tears.

Her 2 month (and 1 week) stats:
Weight: 12 lbs
Height: 23"

Here are a couple more of her 2 month photos I snapped. I just can't get enough of this little girl!

Tummy Time

Fail...she was so sleepy she didn't even want to try tummy time. Honestly, I think she could have fallen asleep like this.

2 Months!

Hey Everybody, I'm 2 months old!

It's so hard to believe that Crosby is already 2 months. I have a feeling that I will be saying this each month (year) that passes. We love her so much and we cannot imagine our lives without this little girl.

Some firsts: big smiles, lots of cooing and bubble blowing, going to church, going to a MN Twins game, CIO and sleeping through the night(3x, but it's a start) , solo bath times with mom and dad, non-family babysitter (mom and dad went back to work), blow out while we were out in North Dallas (dad had to change me in the parking lot at Sprinkles)

2 month likes: talking, smiling, her play mat (loves this), standing on our laps, car rides, Twins games, eating, sitting upright and looking at everything, making spit bubbles, sleeping through the night, skyping and facetime with family, hanging out with Alishia and Olivia (first babysitter!)

2 month dislikes: waking up in spit up (sorry about that), moving from the TX heat to air conditioning, getting swaddled, waiting to eat, getting interrupted by having to be burped instead of getting to eat (the girl loves to eat), when mom and dad deviate from her schedule, tummy time

Do Not Try This At Home!

Parenthood takes A LOT of work. Sometimes we need to sneak in a little shut-eye.

Crosby and mommy sleeping, promise this isn't posed. I really was sleeping. Okay, Crosby is faking it. Man, she's good!

Obviously, Tim is not sleeping here. Little Crosby is watching some cartoons as she waits for her daddy to get up and play with her.

Goofy Smiles

Caught a few smiles tonight!
