MN trip part 3 - actually Wisconson

We took a mini-vacation to Wisconsin while we were in MN.  We headed off to the Dells (minus the water parks) for a few days to relax and catch up with family.  There was no agenda, no place to be, just focusing on quality time together with the littles.  We did plenty of playing at the pool, relaxing in the cabin, eating, roasting marsh mellows, took a trip to the outlet mall, some paddle boarding, and laughing.  It was just what the doctor ordered!

Breakfast the the littles table.

Sharing secrets!  These two were side by side the whole time.

A little pre dinner dance party on the deck.

Bath time for Miss Carter

Mollie Moo and Crosby entertaining Papa!

She sure loves her Papa....oh and her GIANT kitty.
I guess we didn't take as many pictures as we thought.  I guess we were just too busy relaxing.

MN Part 2

After an afternoon of food, naps, and quality cousin time we got in the car and drove 3 hours north to Floodwood.  We thought for sure the girls would sleep the entire drive up....we thought wrong.  We didn't take into consideration that the sun doesn't set until nearly 10pm.  If the suns up, so is our little toddler.  She enjoyed entertaining mommy and daddy with her songs and water tower sightings.  The girl can spot a water tower miles away.

We got a good nights sleep and we were up with the sun (5am sharp).  Once both of the little ladies were up, we drove to my dad's house to spend the day.  Crosby was super excited to see Grandpa Tim, Deb and Boone!  We are so thankful to all of our relatives who took time out of their day to spend time with us and our girls.  It was a lot of fun catching up and sharing Crosby and Carter with them.  Thank you dad and Deb for all of the delicious meals!  Crosby loved picking beans and peas from the garden, who knew she loved raw peas and green beans?

3 month comparison

Check out Crosby's 3 month post here

Crosby Eleanor - 3 months

Carter Joy - 3 months

So far, these two have been extremely similar in their temperaments and demeanor.

Both have been:
really great sleepers, both at nap time and at night
good eaters
love to stand and face outwards
very smily
talkative

Carter's 3 Months

Well, the 3 month mark has come and gone!  These days and weeks seem to just fly by so fast.  We are loving every moment of watching Carter grow.  She is such a great baby.  No doctors appointments this month (thankfully), so we don't have any stats to report.  She is one long, tall girl that's for sure.  She is now wearing size 3 clothes exclusively.  She is so long, I will need to find some onesie extenders!

Likes: her play mat, her big sister, standing up on laps, car rides, church (she loves the lights and music), FaceTiming with our families, being swaddled, sleeping (through the night), eating, baths

Dislikes: haven't found to many of these yet...coming unswaddled in the middle of the night!

She is a very happy, content little girl!  I'm so lucky that I get to spend 10 weeks at home with her!  We already have some big milestones to report in month 4 report.

We love you Carter Bug!

2 Months - Carter

Carter Joy is 2 months old! She changes more and more each day.  She had her two month check with with Dr. Towns this month, so we have some growth stats:

Weight: 11 lbs 1 oz
Height: 25 3/4 in

Check out big sister Crosby here and here

So serious - she really looks like momma's baby pictures in this picture.

Dancing it out.

Something momma or sister did was funny.

On July 27, Carter reached two months old.  The photo shoot was on time, the blog update is a tad late.

Carter firsts: talking and cooing, a plane ride to MN and back(she did amazing), sleeping through the night in her own crib, daycare at Becca's with Miss Grace and Miss Becca

Carter's loves: her play mat and the friends on the play mat, sitting up on someones lap, being swaddled, car rides, her big sister, eating, going to Becca's with the big kids, talking, sleeping through the night (maybe more mommy and daddy), going to church, looking at everything, bath time, getting lotion put on her, FaceTime with family

Carter's dislikes: tummy time, breaking out of her swaddle mid nap, waiting, staying in one place for to long

Carter mommy and daddy love you so much! You are such a sweet, content little girl.  We love watching you grow and change each day.
